A total of 94 cinematographic productions have been officially unveiled for the 24th edition, after undergoing scrutiny. There are a host of categories which have the films distributed.
Many are called, but few are chosen, goes the popular adage. These movies have embarked the ship sailing for the 2020 film festival to take place in Yaounde. Lovers of the 7th art are bracing up for the upcoming edition which is slated for October 31 to November 7, 2020. As the castings will officially be unveiled. After a long break due to the coronavirus pandemic, activities are gradually resurfacing. A host of African movies have gone through scrutiny to be among the chosen. These productions come from international, Central African and Cameroonian zones.
The categories feature; web series, international short films, central African short films, international documentaries, central African documentaries, Cameroonian feature films and international feature films. Under the category international feature films, there are “The Fisherman’s diary” and “Hala Madrid visca Barca” from Morocco. For the category central African documentaries, there are “En tete a tete” by Eddy MIKOLO from D.R Congo and
“Pungu Aviation” by Patrick EPAPE from Cameroon. Then, for the category international short films, there are “Nirvana” from Benin and “Our Albertina” from South Africa. Furthermore, the web series category has “Gloria”, produced by William SEUGNOU and “Les momes seuls a la maison”, produced by EKOMENA Lin Cyrille. These are just a few examples in the different categories.

As a reminder, film makers have had to comply to the regulations according to article 5 of the general considerations. More is still to be done in the upcoming days, so let all get ready for the event.
